Shahndel's Studio
Welcome to my studio where you can browse through a sampling of my creations.

Bison
This is what can happen when I'm chatting with a friend over Discord and doodling.
Tea or Me?
Graphite, charcoal and colored pencil comprise this drawing of a handsome man with great eye contact the second before he sips his tea.

JT
The inspiration for this piece came when the new owner of JT called to let me know he reared up and fell over dead just three steps into her first ride at her home. Devastation, love and compassion are represented here.
Peyote Beaded Rattle
My own design for the beading on a respectfully hand made Deer Spirit rattle. The beads are 15/0 seed beeds, see the picture of the finished rattle below. It was donated to be auctioned off to raise money to purchase land and return it to the Native Americans. Pipestone, MN.

Falls of the Big Sioux River
The rushing sound of water cascading over the quartzite bedrock makes you close your eyes for a moment and feel the light spray on your face. The magic of this place is amazing!
Purple Flower
A lovely photograph of a pretty flower.

Bronze Dragon Sculpture
This protective dragon is created from polymer clay, glass rhinestones and a large quartz crystal mined by Shahndel at Sweet Surrender Crystal Mine, Story, AR.
Deer Spirit Rattle
This unique rattle boasts deer dew claws that swing beneath the deer rawhide rattle. The natural branch was beaded and finished by hand.

boBo
At 3am one morning, I wandered to my computer and bid $3 on this tiny Serama rooster. Well, $65 for shipping later, he arrived and at least I have a great picture of him!
Thanksgiving Day Balloons
In case you didn't know, these balloons were constructed and hand painted at Raven right here in Sioux Falls. I was one of the lucky few to help paint the 2017 parade balloons!

Dragon Eyes Earrings
These are just one example of one style of jewelry I have made,
Freestyle Pendant
This is another example of my jewelry.

Moldavite Pendant
This powerful and beautiful pendant features a large Moldavite, 18 ct gold filled wire and a Herkimer Diamond. Not just anyone could wear this piece.
Cape Hattaras
The lighthouse at Cape Hatteras, NC is a striking reminder of the comfort you feel when seeing a light in the storm. I have used this photograph to paint an acrylic likeness.

Savior's Staircase
How many times have these steps been trod to assure the lamp in the lighthouse is kept burning? We will never know.
The Badlands Drink
The stark beauty of South Dakota.

Sunrise
On the way to Shakopee, MN from Sioux Falls, I pulled off on the exit ramp and got this morning photo.
Hypnotic
I painted this with acrylic to be included on a custom, hand-woven, African inspired book bag.

Grandfather Mountain
On a hike to the summit of Grandfather Mountain, NC, I had to stop and capture this photo of a photographer who was taking photos of houses in the valley.
Ice Dragon Eye
A custom necklace. I hand painted the eye cabochon and used some of the sparkly paint from the Olaf balloon and made the chain mail too.
